Josephine Langley


Josephine is a senior biodiversity and conservation specialist with over 20 years of experience working as an independent environmental consultant across multiple jurisdictions including protected areas, international policy and sustainable development. She has expertise in biodiversity conservation and monitoring, climate change adaptation, conservation finance, High Seas/ABNJ, integrated environmental and coastal zone management, nature-based solutions and risk reduction.

She has worked in field-based advisory, capacity development, monitoring and evaluation in the Caribbean, EU, European Overseas Territories, Hong Kong, South East Asia, Pacific and Western Indian Ocean. She is currently a member of the IUCN World Heritage Panel, CCSG Marine Connectivity Working Group (MCWG),and World Commission on Protected Areas (WCPA), and has experience working with international conventions, including the UNESCO World Heritage Convention on climate change adaptation and nature-based solutions.
